HAWKWOOD MERCANTILE Canoeist Smock£260.00
HAWKWOOD MERCANTILE is a labour of love for its owner RICHARD ILLINGWORTH; with his encyclopaedic knowledge of vintage military wear never more in evidence than with the cotton hooded Canoeist Smock.
It's an impeccable reproduction of a British Special Boat Service Canoeist Smock from the 50s, as housed in the The Imperial War Museum, with whom HAWKWOOD MERCANTILE enjoy a special relationship.
Featuring two large button-down pockets and a further three utility pockets (two on the chest and one on the collar) it's a pretty special bit of kit. On the rear is a large envelope shaped pocket, where the second canoeist rower would traditionally store a map.
The collar and waist host drawstring ties with wooden toggles.
All HAWKWOOD MERCANTILE goods are individually cut and tailored by skilled craftspeople, coming in branded garment bags that are handily tote size.
